Just noticed I can't download the latest version. The game doesn't do the usual 'update' option in the itch app, and when I try through downloads it is saying the 'no thanks, just take me to the game' link needs a special app from the microsoft store to open it, rather than taking me to the download links. I tested the 'no thanks' button on other games I have never downloaded before, and it works fine, so for some reason it is isolated to only being an issue with this game. :/
Hmm, so at least two games are having the issue? None of my other games have had the error so far, so it must be a rare bug triggering it. I wonder if it is also related to the ongoing error I've been having where I need to refresh pages for them to load without saying it has an error involving too many data instances. Out of curiosity, did you change how the game file is uploaded? I ask because, as I said, it didn't offer me an option to simply click 'update' as it usually does. Wondering if the means for uploading the file correlates to triggering the issue. I will report it to itch, but I want to have all my facts in line, please. Hopefully, the more info we collectively have and the more people reporting it will make Itch fix it faster. I really like your game, as you know, so I'm looking forward to trying the new changes and parts.
Both games I saw problems with (mine and the second one) work in web format (can be launched directly in the browser). Answering your question - I added the ability to play in the browser about a month ago, it seems to me that the error may be related to this. But the ability to download versions to computers in my game remains.
That makes sense. The last version I got was the one where you added the second club visit, so I'm assuming I do have the correct version and that is why it didn't offer an update. I misunderstood the post with the -dev version thinking it was the next update.
And your observation also seems correct concerning the browser version being the cause. Good catch! Would it benefit you if I followed through with reporting the error to Itch still? I don't mind doing so.

It is not saving my character's name..I've tried making a new game 3 times and it saves the new name for mom but never me, always stays John no matter what..
Any chance you could make the walkthrough somewhat helpful by simply stating what the pin number for the phone actually is, please? I found the paper. It has 7 numbers on it, five of which have lines connecting to them and the pin is only four numbers long. I'm getting angry continuously failing as I try different number combinations and your walkthrough just states the obvious of "the pin is on a paper". On top of that, the first number on the paper... is that supposed to be a four? It looks like a 1 or a 7. And the things with the lines in them are 7's, I assume? I've never seen such god-awful number stylings in my life.
I'm legit giving up due to this pin BS. It is infuriating. Early in the game and already hating how hard a simple puzzle is and spent way too long trying to figure it out. Also, kinda a pain in the ass having to keep selecting "Inventory > Who > Use" every single time the pin I enter is incorrect.
That was a 1 not a 4? And yeah, the most confusing part is the line is solely under the 2 and the 6, as if saying to swap those numbers. Even then, it would look like 327 and leave another digit out, so I assumed 42 was replacing the 6 like 3427 though I tried a lot of combinations using the 12 as well. Would have sworn the 7 was at the end considering the line connects the 12 to the 6 as if to say it the twelve belongs in the middle rather than the six. I'd suggest a bar connected to the line that goes under the 67 and the 12. Also, why is that a 1 but look so much different than the 1 in the 17 in the upper middle? It even has a bend like a 7 or 4 @.@
But that leads me to the real question of if someone makes a pin for their own phone... even giving the benefit of the doubt their memory could be atrocious... why are they writing it down in such a convoluted way if the note is for themself? lol
I had my roomy try to decipher it as well after you told me the code. He is amazing at escape rooms and such and he couldn't guess it either. lol
But, apart from that code that is currently useless, this game is really fun. I particularly like the interactive somnophilia minigame. I did everything but the club scene parts because I cannot figure out how to visit the club. I assumed there would be an option to visit it as you would any other area or the shop, but there isn't. Street only lets me visit the shop or home.
It's kind of motivation for me to make the game better. Yes I am going to try to make an android version these days. Before your comment I just didn't think about an android version.
Community doesnt have much games like this. Usually, as i see, game makers are getting populer when they keep making the game. I hope you get your dream sucsess. I recommend you to share your game in other platforms. I have searched your game for other platforms but i couldnt find it. Like f95zone or other platforms will help you to get better. Specially f95 zone.

This is probably due not only to poor memory, but also to poor handwriting. :-)
